I'm in the studio a lot and I see this all of the time. Improper lifting due to dysfunctional movement patterns. Practicing functional movement patterns is important. With practice, they become more intuitive (again) and we re-remember ways to move that support our bodies.

We've all been there. That twinge that won't go away or that nagging pain in our back. Sitting too much, injury, overuse of certain parts of the body and underuse of others - all lead to dysfunctional movement.

What to do? Practice the functional moves. A basic hip-hinge or deep knee bend /squat can do wonders. Want to see more of our vids?
