Man I love your channel so much. You could legit have your own show on NPR. People call in with questions about plants and you give it to 'em straight but with a little slapstick mixed in. The serpentine habitat is incredibly interesting! I've never seen anything like that.

The only place I've seen bitterroot is up Mazourka Canyon Road along the crest of the Inyo Range. Love the comment about mesothelioma... I have similar feelings about ORV types who tear up the desert and put a ton of dust in the air! BTW, I was going to ask what range you were in, but looking up Layia discoidea on calflora pretty much answered that question! LOL

"Assembling California" by John McPhee- Don't wait for the movie cause there ain't gonna be one. Get the book. Read it. Go to California and see it just like just like Tony. ( Of course if you don't like botany or geology, then forget about it).
