🚫Pulau Ubin - It’s not worth it!

⛴️Only 15’ by ferry from Singapore you can visit one of Singapores Islands.

In this video I am sharing the things I wish I knew before going to Pulau Ubin and why I don’t think its worth the trip🙈

Have you been to Pulau Ubin?🏝️

This is a very individual thing, as Singaporean are more interested with food, at pulau ubin most are go there to enjoy seafood, they have a lot of fresh seafood supplies from the nearby fish farm and some special food that not able to get in Singapore main land ( it is kind of illegal so I don't mention the name here).

Pulau Ubin is the last bastion of undisturbed natural beauty in a technology-driven society - a definite contrast from commercialized Sentosa. If you don't have genuine appreciation for the rustic, you won't enjoy spending the day on Ubin. There is far, far more to it than what this short expresses. It's a step back in time, where people are warm and friendly, the air is fresh and it is void of the distractions of modern city life. Ubin is worth the visit.

As a nature and tree lover I from Australia I thought it a wonderful respite and have been a few times. Each to their own I guess.

I honestly prefer islands such as St Johns Island & Kusu Island over this.

Pulau Ubin (East) [Ferry at Changi Village]
Kusu Island (South) [Ferry at Marina South Pier]
St Johns Island (South) [Ferry at Marina South Pier]

Marina Ferries cost more, Waiting Time & time taken for Ferry Ride is longer than Pulau Ubin's but its more worth it, it carries more people than 12!

Pulau Ubin is 1 of the last village remaining in Spore. As Sporeans we hope the government preserve this island and keep the heritage as Spore overall has already transform into cosmopolitan city. This is where Sporeans can go back to a more quiet, peaceful life to reset. This is how 1960s in Spore looks like, even the water are manually pump fm the well n electricity using generator..it is more to give our younger generation a glimpse of what Spore looks like before getting it's independence fm Malaysia..

This island is mainly for tropical jungle survival trainning. Singapore is right on the equator so the tropical aspects of it are at the most extreme and people who want to experience living in a tropical jungle sign up for survival courses there. I did those a few times before and i would really recommend you try it.

Hello! I'm planning to visit next week. Regarding the boat transport, how do you identify which one goes to Pulau Ubin once you arrive at Changi Point Ferry Terminal? I assume there are many other boats there as well

I guess it depends on the types of things you enjoy. I spent an entire day on Ubin with a friend. It rained all day. We walked to Chek Jawa and back. We had a wonderful time. I wouldn’t hesitate to do it again, even in the rain.

The Singapore government needs to get investors to turn Pulau Ubin into another Sentosa to generate income while keeping it green the way Singapore knows how.

For us locals, Pulau Ubin is more well-known for the stuff that happens at night while camping. unless you dont want to see ghosts, then you can go there at night.
