It's fully understandable why during World war2 most everyone was terrified of these. The size definitely has an effect, plus soldiers on the ground hearing that whine, and knowing that was death if they were seen, yeah, it's a beast, even though it's old.

they retired this tiger in September. for every hour it ran, it took museum staff and engineers 200 hours to maintain it

I went down to Bovington Tank Museum to see 131 last month. I have seen this tank through my life before and during its restoration. It was wonderful to see if now fully resorted. A fantastic piece of German engineering from a great time in German history.
