Shopify CEO calls out lack of ambition in Canadian tech companies

The president of Ottawa tech darling Shopify says the Canadian tech sector lacks ambition. CTV's Tyler Fleming gets reaction.

The person to blame for this are board members and CEOs who want to make quick money from selling companies. Canada had a lot of high skill innovators, but sadly are not being utilized.

Everyone wants to invest in houses here, which is not cutting edge.

Yeah it's not just the companies. Canadian tech has almost zero investment. The brains are there, they're just all leaving to make twice as much in the states.
