Jake Evans deserves way more recognition. He’s fast, he can hit, he’s good defensively and has a good hockey IQ. The kid is good on the PK too. I’m starting to love this kid. The Habs as a whole finally look like a really good team. It’s exciting.

This team has so much depth:

- Every habs player have at least 2 points except Perry (who has one point after one game)
- 16 out of 19 habs players have at least 1 goal (Only Danaut, Byron and Kulak did not score yet)

Evans is one of the first real successes of our development system. Drafted late, they let him spend his time in college, and then he hit the AHL when we got Bouchard who really seems to excel with our prospects.

Started watching hockey two years ago, and fell in love the the history and passion in Montreal. What a fuckin year this has been to be a habs fan. To go from barely making the playoffs before covid, proving to be an underdog over Pittsburgh, then making tremendous moves to further their depth in the off-season and now 1st in the league, fuck yea, we’re gettin that cup

Other than a 5 minute stretch in the 3rd period this was a very good game by the Habs. What more can you say about Suzuki. This kid is going to get even better. Happy that Perry scored last night. Drouin had another good game. Jo is playing with a lot of confidence & it is showing. The biggest difference this year with Drouin is that Drouin isn't over thinking with the puck as he had done in the previous couple years & is just allowing the play to come to him. Playing with Suzuki has given Drouin new life. I hope Drouin continues to play like this

I don't think Price has found his game yet BUT isn't it nice that he doesn't have to have it right now. Isn't it great that the Habs are not a reactive counter punch team anymore. They set the pace - teams have to adjust to them
