You explained that better in 5 minutes than my Spanish teacher, who will speak Spanish 90% of the time, did in 3 months. Thanks.

@Christian Johnson

You can add the following: reflexive object pronouns {me, te, se, nos, os, se}, indirect object pronouns {me, te, le, nos, os, les}, and direct object pronouns {me, te, lo, la, nos, os, los, las}.  To know the order, memorize this rhyme “indirect before direct reflexive first of all”.

[ir] + a + infinitive.  If you attach one item to the infinitive then you do not need a written accent.  If you attach two or more then you will place a written accent on the A of the AR, the E of the ER, or the I of the IR.  For example:
Voy a explicarlo.  No written accent.
Voy a explicártelo. Written accent on the A of explicar.
Voy a venderlo. No written accent.
Voy a vendértelo.  Written accent on the E of vender.

[estar] + ando/iendo.  If you attach one or more items to the ando/iendo, you will place a written accent on the A of ando or the E of iendo.
Estoy explicándolo.  Estoy explicándotelo.
Estoy vendiéndolo.  Estoy vendiéndtelo.

I hope this helps.

DUDE....there is a another Spanish teacher on here who I've been watching who I thought couldn't be topped, but he did not explain this like you did, as a matter of fact, no one here did. I've viewed at least 10 other videos here on you tube about IO and DO. thanks much for breaking this down so simple and using the simple simple plain explanations. I really really understand this now.

That was so clear!! It's like you knew exactly what I didn't understand and how to explain it to me. I especially appreciated how you did it step by step (first by using only the indirect pronoun and keeping the repetition and then by eliminating the repetition and using the direct pronoun. And the summary at the end was really helpful. Thank you so much for this video.

I like the way you start explaining things right away without saying "Hi", playing music or telling us to like the video. :)

@SwissChard / Thanks for the kind words. I am going to launch a few more videos when school starts back up in September. I will make a direct/indirect video that is pure examples. Good luck with your Spanish!

You have a way of explaining thing quickly and simply without a long video. You have helped me with the subjunctive when I was getting confused with all the tenses and now this. I kept wondering why se was in front of non reflexive verbs when I was trying to read articles. Please keep making videos even if it is just running through multiple practice problems using multiple concepts such as the subjunctive and conditional along with indirect object pronouns in a sentence. Then we could pause the video and you show us the answer or analyzing this type of grammar in conversations you have, news videos or articles. I think you could get a lot of views if you enjoy doing this because your explanations are so much better and less confusing than other videos I have watched. So thank you so much!! If you happen to know russian or want to learn Russian, I would love to see (and could really use) your explanations simplifying that grammar too.

This is the 3rd video I've seen of yours. I'll be watching more. I really appreciate how you write out the sentences and do it in the same order that I think in English.
The hardest part of learning Spanish for me is the sentence structure. Most of the time I actually know what to do, but the wheels fall off the wagon because I automatically try to build an English sentence structure instead of a Spanish one. It's getting better the more I work at it. Thanks again!
