I might play minigames against the Master CPUs, I might play boards against characters like Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Rosalina, Birdo, Wario, Waluigi and more?! Is that all of them? We don't know yet! The true challenge isn't winning on every track, it's getting three stars in every difficulty. One race with bad luck and you gotta play an entire cup all over again, pure frustration. :P

7:14 You can also run into a banana before the blue shell hits so the I frames stop the blue shell's impact (Instead of taking the blue shell hit, you take the smaller banana hit)

Here's a tip: they never give you two coins at a time, so if you hold on to one coin when hitting a single item box you're guaranteed a real item

18:14 The star doesn't make you faster, it just puts you at your top speed, makes you invulnerable and makes you damage other racer when you collide with them, the best uses for a star is either defensively or to take a shortcut that doesn't require a mushroom, but yes stars are kinda meh in mk8.

Here's something you can do in this game that you can't do in any other game: race as 2 separate characters at the same time
How?: have 1 joy con in either hand and have both characters have auto accelerate and tilt controller active

This is very nice! I always remembered how it was so hard to get 1st place in each race in Mario Kart Double Dash (and to a lesser extent Wii, but I managed it).
