Agreed.. digital and audio books are more of a back up for me.

Some people like physical books, and some prefer e-books. Whatever you like, but before you say e-books are not for you, do yourself the favour of trying an e-ink bookreader. It's nothing like a tablet. Visually it's like paper, and the battery life crushes all tablets. You don't scroll, you turn the page. Direct sunlight, no problem. Just like paper, only more convenient and consumes less resources.

I love physical books. However, I dislike the dust they collect and their collective weight, especially if you move around. I made the switch to digital and carry only one item with my whole library in under 2 pounds of weight and no dust.

It’s definitely not the same feeling to read a book online or a printed book. I think both have their own specific advantages (on the top of their common advantages of course), so alternating between both according to my need at the moment is what works the best for me.

E-books are handy but we don't actually "own" them. Lose your Kindle login and good luck trying to get "your" books back.

Naaah, I love the kindles. Saves space, trees and you never have to repurchase a book due to damage. You can highlight words you don’t know and it instantly gives you the definition right there on the spot. No reading light needed. People that cling to physical books are the same people that think vinyl records sound better. You’re delusional.

Eh. I think it's mostly because human are hoarders by nature and buying a cheap book every so often to put on the shelf gives you a dopamine rush, more than reading it. Doubt most people would read a book twice.
