Reimagining Economic & Social Sustainability | UPL x FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™

Another of our three pillars for reimagining sustainability is economic and social sustainability. Farming communities are some of the most vulnerable and underserved in the world, particularly smallholder farmers. We’re working to power new levels of economic prosperity and social inclusion among these communities through a range of programmes that deliver mutual benefits for farmers and their wider communities.

For example, in India, we’re working with tens of thousands of farmers to close the skills gap, improve access to resources, enhance institutional support and engrain an entrepreneurial culture. In Africa, we’re also creating greater opportunities for women to participate, contribute to, and improve their quality of life through agriculture.

By supporting farming communities to overcome gender inequalities, diversify their economic incomes, and become more resilient, we can provide more nutritious and sustainably produced food to feed our growing global population, contribute to greater economic empowerment, and ensure an inclusive and prosperous future for all.
