This one was the anthem of the Democratic Army of Greece (ΔΣΕ), which was the military wing of the Greek communist party during the Greek Civil War. The man in the photo, general Markos Vafiadis, was the head of the army.

After World War Two, Greek communist partisan groups (Including ELAS as mentioned in the song) and the communist government controlled much of the Greek territories, and the persecution of leftists began. The various leftist partisan groups merged into one army, the Democratic Army of Greece, and carried on the armed struggle as the civil war began.

The letter in their emblem, Δ, stands for democracy.
