Mark, an older Jewish man who worked in a deli with me, told me as a kid he and his friends would unload cases of whiskey from small boats in mamaroneck, Rye and, new Rochelle at night for lucky luciano. They got $5 each, which was what his father made a week.

Mark - Are you familiar with Mickey Rosner, a mobster who ended up becoming a lobbyist in DC? He was married to my mom’s cousin. Apparently when the Lindbergh kid disappeared they consulted the mob for any inside information and Rosner was the point person. Love you commentary.
