So telling the truth is racist. Truth matters in this age of lies. No one can rewrite history.

Strange commenting from a Ukrainian-Russian raised in the former Soviet Union known for historic "savagery" over huge blocks of Europe. She then skipped over to Israel and the last stop, Canada got stuck with her.

She's actually describing the COMMUNISTS she was raised with: "They didn’t have any sophisticated laws. They were savages. They fought each other all the time, ” Sapozhnikov said at one point in the hour-long interview.

Now shes surely lost an election for the Conservatives. Good job, Comrade!🙄

“Northwest Coast groups undoubtedly fought for a variety of reasons, promi- nent among which were revenge, territorial expansion, plunder, and the securing of slaves. Each of these was important under various circumstances and at various ames, but so important and obvious were these last motives-plunder and the taking of slaves-that one nineteenth century observer, R. C. Mayne (1862:74), once characterized the whole Northwest Coast fighting complex as a "cruel system of predatory warfare."

Why do First Nations today get offended by these 'rascist' comments? She did had a point that First Nations at the time didn't have sophisticated laws, and were always fighting amongst each other.

Weak journalism. We’re over using that word and it’s lost meaning

Truthful and factual comments shouldn’t matter whose feelings are hurt. Stop playing victims and become productive members of society.

She ran in my Riding, and yet I never heard any of her comments until AFTER the election was over. She’s a Ukrainian doctor, a new Canadian, I presume. Didn’t she need to educate herself on our history before obtaining citizenship?

Everything they don't like is racist. We were all savages at some point in history. Stop complaining!

What's 'racist' about the truth? Native people DID NOT have any sophisticated laws and THEY WERE savage. To this day far too many native people still can't follow the laws we have in this country. I understand people don't like to be called out by name, but you can't deny facts either.

They did fight each other for the French, what so racist about that. You people need to go back ro school & study history instead if tearing it down.

I wonder if the same is true for having indigenous leaders eliminating racist language from within their communities aimed at other Canadians
