hi friends!!
so... i'm finally officially releasing "Floating"

i wrote this song back in 2017, which means it's been 4 whole years :O
when i wrote this song, i was in a very vulnerable place. i felt very socially anxious and doubted myself a lot, but writing this really allowed me to express myself and to this day i still somewhat relate to the lyrics i wrote back then. so i hope you enjoy this new and improved version of the song, and i also hope you can find some comfort in it the way i did when i first wrote it :')

a big thank you to Park Bird for his production, and Luxid for his mixing and mastering skills (and putting up with my crazy requests LOL). without them i wouldn't have been able to finish off this song or recreate it into the pretty ballad it is now :)

on monday I went to my best friend's birthday party, while she was taking pictures and my other friends talking I kept my head down looking at my cell phone because I was very insecure with myself...I came home and cried so much, I wanted to enjoy the party more, but I didn't allow myself. my head wouldn't allow me. I heard this song for the first time that same day, I identified myself very much with the lyrics :')

I remember when I used to listen to this song a long time ago. I was struggling a lot with having ADHD that was undiagnosed and even not really dealt with. I connected with the song because it felt like how I felt whenever I would space out during class or get really confused over small things or struggle to just be calm. On top of the untreated ADHD I was dealing with other peoples problems even when I didn't understand my own. I would try my hardest to be liked and I put everyone before myself. This song really helped me find the words to explain how I was feeling and the gentle tune helped calm me down when I would get overwhelmed. Listening to this song made me think of how much I've grown and changed over the years. I still haven't gotten diagnosed with ADHD sadly but I'm trying to get something worked out so I can see a professional about it. I'm so glad this song is getting officially released, it's beautiful, meaningful, and feels like a warm hug after a long day.

I was scrolling through my Spotify and heard this song, I was confused cuz it wasn’t on my list but I listened and it felt like someone was holding on to me and telling me everything in my life will soon calm down because I was called out of my name by some people I thought were friends and let’s say they didn’t think of me innocently but rather as a uninnocent person who they called inappropriate names and they were pretty bad, and this song helped me feel better and realize they are just stupid jerks that I shouldn’t talk to.
