Is John Lennon's Spirit Still Alive in Karuizawa Japan? 🇯🇵

John Lennon spent the last four summers of his life (1976-1979) in Karuizawa, a once-obscure resort town that he helped put on the map. It's known for its nearby skiing and as a great place to escape the summer heat in Tokyo. Bill Gates has a home there as do other celebs like Ken Watanabe. Some of John's old haunts, like the Mampei Hotel, where he taught them to make what they call royal milk tea, are currently under renovation. Others, like the French Bakery and Rizanbo Cafe, are still there. And of course, all the natural beauty, the waterfalls and the great hikes and vistas are still there. The town's leafy streets are a lot of fun to explore on bikes, as John and Yoko did, and many of the homes seem almost hidden in the trees.
