ICC: 19th Prosecution Witness Takes The Stand

The 19th prosecution witness in the ongoing trial of Deputy President William Ruto and journalist Joshua arap Sang told the International Criminal Court that she did not attend any ODM political rally during the 2007 election campaigns but attended one political meeting in Ruto's Sugoi home. She said she did this despite being a PNU supporter then who was afraid of ODM supporters who had apparently threatened Eldoret North residents who were of her political inclination with eviction. The witness named the Deputy President's Personal Assistant Farouk Kibet as having been among the leaders who addressed the leaders at the political gathering attended by local leaders including some drawn from the Luo and Luhya Communities.
