An exploration into the stunning monument of Mount Rushmore. A stunning depiction of four US Presidents that represents the United States in times past, present and future. This incredible feature boasts very lifelike figures with few peers across the Land. Are there other monuments that compare and what is the story behind the construction?

We can take photos of crashing trains, and cliffside hotel fires, and the Civil War, and construction workers on top of skyscrapers, and flying cigar shaped balloons, and whole empty cities, and World's Fairs... but we can't document the sculpting of one of the most amazing carvings in U.S. ok. 👍

Always a fascinating thing, Mount Rushmore. One of the great and universally accepted symbols of the USA. Of course curious people will wonder about the who and why and how and when etc. of building/carving this impressive object into that mountain. Those not so curious will just read all about it in the "oh so well documented" mainstream accounts and accept it 100%. They don't see anything strange about the ginormous discrepancies in the lives of all such architects, those who built the M. Rushmore monument or those who allegedly built the Chicago World Fair 1893 etc. etc. Thanks for another refreshing video, Lucius.

Fascinating! I remember hearing years ago that a Native American face was originally there. Thanks, love your work ❤

What's weird is you never see people that look anything at all like "The Founding Fathers" and its not just the weird hair.

we're plenty of old-World buildings here in Brazil, sometimes i just find myself amazed wandering randomly on São Paulo downtown streets, such a variety of old edifices and remarkable grand houses in the so-called greco-roman style, all of them mostly featured as banks or insurance companies or government offices that looks really like they were re-assigned in the past, as the country was still in development.

Can't wait to watch this. Lately I've've been thinking about mount Rushmore and what it might really be.

another awesome episode... went there in my youth on a Boy Scout trip in early 80s.... remember walking on a path through the woods below... always a problem customer my whole life, jumped the wooden railing fence and went scrambling up to see if I could get closer... totally totally busted, got in lots of trouble, but got a rock from the talus before I came down.... (I've collected rocks my whole life, my family thinks I'm crazy) ... thanks for your work, much appreciated! and props to you to giving props to the wizard who has reappeared... like when Gandalf the grey becomes Gandalf the white... ;) one love

Aurelian you are the GOAT. The 5 eras theory is the most plausible of any brought forth so far. The way you bring this together using the who, what, where, when, why and how. Most importantly the How Much. You also are using the scientific method, which makes this so much more valid.
Kudos sir once again.

There is something about the eyes and style of the sculptures the reminds me of the
sculptures on the Art Deco buildings.

I have always been fascinated with sculptures from the historical narrative. So many are so lifelike.
I have seen some in person and pondered what exactly I was looking at. Never really anyone around to discuss my thoughts with. I learned quickly not to speak my mind on a field trip or a family outing. My questioning made people uncomfortable.
Thank you for sharing your research and keen perspective good sir. Finally I find myself in good company.

LA Mt. RM is a huge puzzle. Great job on the video. I appreciate you sharing my pictures. very nice. Jon levi talks of the wizard he is also hilarious, describing this mystery. So glad to be part of this group questioning everything because it must be done.

I mean, it's totally clear those are Native Americans on Rushmore, when you look at the nose structure of the carvings and compare it to that photo of Standing Bear, or many others, they match up perfectly.

Specifically the lack of give in the bridge of the nose, the bridge where the glasses go, is very prominent. The nostrils shape, the nose overall being a "strong" feature without being too big. Angles down totally straight or a extremely subtle bump. it's actually a very specific type of nose. Very prominent.

That picture of that painted white brick building in Chagrin hits close to home! In my own on the ground research i have found COUNTLESS of the exact same styled building with the Independent Order of Odd Fellows logo, IOOF, stamped on the top just as this building does! These buildings are littered all across Windsor Essex County (across from Detroit) and apparently Ohio too, which is fascinating considering Michigan saw the massive presence of Orphans via the Orphan trains and the Odd Fellows, as part of their mission statement, raise and care for the orphan!

There are two distinct surface textures in the Mount Rushmore monument. One is consonant with the pneumatic drills of the period. These are coarse, rough, and have areas of "split" facing caused by blasting (also known as shot rock). The other resembles modern CNC textures. The textures are almost identical side by side. These, when viewed at a slight distance away, disappear and look amazingly lifelike. Curious ...
The monument has space available for the other grandfathers. They are still playing with destroying the Crazy Horse monument. There is not much left ...
Odd that both surviving sculptures look to have been carved by the same person ...
Too bad the best features are blasted away. Is it weird that a very famous and successful actor had his career derailed when he stated that Mount Rushmore was a government cover-up in a popular movie ...

The native american name for Mount Rushmore is very telling. My guess is the sculptures were dug out . One of the grandfathers was certainly eliminated. You have to wonder what the real story of the USA is and who the people carved really were.

I went to Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse in 2020 before I was awake to the Old World and the story they told us at Crazy Horse "Monument" is that it is technically a mine because the government would not give a permit for an Indian monument only 20 miles from Mt. Rushmore. We were told that the sculptor found this loophole while hunkered down in the long and harsh Dakota winters. The "Mine" could look any way that you wanted it to look but you had to restore the land the way it was before you started so they never plan to finish. He set everything up so that his family would run the whole thing and receive an income forever.
