Hungary has a long history of Quantum Science. From Eugene Wigner to John von Neumann to Edward Teller, many of the pioneers in the field were born there. Today, as the world enters the second quantum revolution - driven by the ability to manipulate single quantum objects and use them in applications - Hungary is once again at the forefront with the work of QNL, the Quantum Information National Laboratory of Hungary. Combining the expertise of top researchers at Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Eötvös Loránd University, and Wigner Research Centre for Physics, QNL is focused on designing the quantum architectures of the future, building a Quantum Communication network across Europe, building the software tools needed to safely harness quantum computing and much more - all in in one of Europe's most beautiful and vibrant cities.
