During World War II, a U.S. aircraft carrier called the Hornet lost its final battle and sunk to the floor of the South Pacific Ocean. But 77 years later, a research vessel found it's final resting place. Mark Phillips reports.

There’s been two ships I’ve been obsessed with learning about since I was a kid. Titanic and Hornet CV-8. So happy to see the images of the wreck and very appreciative that they are not going to reveal the location of her final resting place.

That is amazing. The Hornet launched the Doolittle raid. All these ships, and their crews should never be forgotten. If not for these ships, we'd be speaking Japanese to this day. God bless all that were lost during the war.

Word War II is never quite over is it. I wish leaders today would stop and think about the many mistakes that led to it before doing anything.
