I LOVE EGGS; I love eggs so much that I have them every single day, whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner. However, making GOOD eggs can be very tricky. One of the EASIEST ways to enjoy fluffy and tasty eggs delicious every single time is to make Korean Steamed Eggs - Gyeran Jjim. Korean Steamed Eggs is a popular side dish that takes less than 15 minutes to make and is also super affordable. Fluffy, light, and filled with umami flavors, give these tasty Korean Steamed Eggs a try, and it might also be your go-to side dish!

Since starting this new series where I recreate recipes from my favorite Korean drama, I knew I would have endless options from my all-time favorite foodie drama - Let’s Eat. Like mentioned before, every episode will leave you drooling and wanting to eat your screen. Luckily, Korean Steamed Eggs takes less than 15 minutes to make, so when I saw this episode, I got up at 11 pm and made myself this fluffy bowl of eggs and paired it with a hot bowl of rice. Both my fiance and I were very satisfied and went to sleep with a smile on our faces.

I used a 1/4 cup of stock for 1 egg and add the sauces as you want. Been eating it pretty regularly when I don’t want to order anything

For years I was making a modified version of this and had no idea there was a real recipe out there, and it’s been such a delight to combine my lazy girl version (boiling water stir then microwave) with the actual recipe, and it’s given me so many ideas for different flavor options bc I am a sauce and spice lover! ❤

Koreans don't use that kind of fish sauce. We use anchovy sauce, it's much milder & not as salty. My Korean mother sometimes uses saeujeot (tiny whole brined shrimp).

Dang, that actually looks like it would go good with rice.

Try to mix steamed egg and rice with sesame oil + mild soy sauce!! It’s good especially when you lost appetite 😊

Put it on lower heat and you can get even fluffier texture.

Nice. I should try add fish sauce into mine. I call it egg pudding - and microwave it for 2 minutes

You can make it in the microwave
6 eggs, salt to taste, soy sauce and 1/2” water stir then pop it in your microwave for 6 minutes
After it comes out put some soy sauce and sesame seed oil
Eat with white bread
It’s delicious
