Hi. Thanks for your info. When you say a glissando in piano, as you played it it's not half steps or semitones. It's a mix of whole and half steps. To make it all half steps, it's done regularly with 3 fingers.

Hi Freya! Just two questions out of this: Is it true that portamento is only used (or can only be used) on two notes and not much? And about indication on the sheet, should the slur indicating the portamento be accompanied by a diagonal line from head to head -of note figures- and the word portamento or port.?
