I find Ralph's work riveting but why does he always call Jesus "the Jesus character"? He never calls King Arthur, Pilate or Cicero or anyone else a character unless they are in the bible. It makes me wonder if he he coming at it from a biased view point even if his research is based on historical manuscripts.
