A Nightingale singing its beautiful and powerful song. Its easy to hear why the Nightingale's song is considered one of the most beautiful in the world. The Common Nightingale (Luscinia megarhynchos) breeds in Europe and the Palearctic and migrates south to spend the winter in Sub-Saharan Africa. The audio of the Nightingale song is set against separate video of a walk through a local wood.

What a magical place for a-start, and then add the Nightingale song to it, and it's absolute bliss. 😊❤

Nightingale melodies are glorious and precious and cause me to tear up. I pause and enjoy every second of the beautiful clear birdsong and look forward to them arriving in spring so much!

This forest is gorgeous as well, very conducive.

Thank you.

Beautiful song; as pretty as a blackbird? Looks like a prime bluebell wood

Thank you My Birding Year for yet another wonderful video. I felt I was walking through the wood myself happily listening to a Nightingale imaging. Such a beautiful sound too. What a lovely way to relax.
I’ve never heard one or seen on before but I live in hope I will one day.
Have a lovely weekend.
Thank you again for sharing your wonderful work.

MBY I have the misfortune to be obsessed by nightingales. I have not heard one in my local patch for several years. At this rate I will have to take a trip to the south of France before I fall off the twig. Can you give us a clue as to where you heard our friend? 😊

They are very cool and very loud! Singing patterns are remarkably different depending on their location.
