I hope that some of the people here for SRV have had their eyes opened the mastery of Buddy who's always flown a little under the radar. Both insanely talented.

Wow, when someone like Buddy Guy introduces you by calling you his best friend AND handing you YOUR guitar before you start playing together, you know you've made it!!

Who here still misses SRV? What a major talent we lost.

Buddy Guy always looks like he's having fun, especially when he's jamming with the younger generation players. One of the most amazing showmen ever.

Stevie said himself... "if there was no Buddy Guy, there would be no Stevie Ray Vaughan".

I was there. It was Buddys birthday and the two of them made guitar love for 1 1/2 hours. I have never and will never see anything like it again. Also forgot shake hands with Bernie Taupin who is standing to the right of Stevie.

Mad respect for Buddy Guy he's a legend in his own right but what always amazes me is how many legends he shared the stage with..
The important thing is Buddy shares that stage he brings out the best from others and never tries to upstage instead he shares his beautiful energy and it's obvious how much he enjoys collaborating

I'm not a musician but to strap on an instrument and immediately start shredding a nasty solo like that seems insane.

I was blessed to have seen Stevie Ray twice. First time was in Phoenix at the celebrity theater in 87. Greg Allman opened for SRV and Double Trouble. I had a 5th row aisle seat and when the stage rotated to my aisle I ran down to the stage and got right up to Stevie and screamed like a little girl at an Elvis concert. Stevie just grinned at me and then a giant of a man stepped between us and said no dancing in the aisle so I sat down. The second time I saw Stevie was in Tucson in 89 the day after my birthday, I didn't have as good of a seat but it was still an awesome concert and great birthday gift. The following year the day before my birthday I heard the horrible news that Stevie was gone. Died in my home state of Wisconsin and at a place where I probably skied down the hill. I went skiing many times at Alpine valley and saw a few concerts there also. I still mourn us losing him and the others who were on that helicopter. But I will never forget that night I first saw him and he gave me a big smile. RIP Stevie, thanks for the memories and your God given talent.

Best ever, this is why I have a guitar in my hand at 5am right now. Color didn't matter we need this back. Put a guitar in your kids hands not a cell phone. So much talent out there just waiting to be found. Blues come from your heart and soul. You feel it!!! More than just hear it!

A true master knows when to cut loose, and when to step back and let Buddy do his thang. 2 legends

Stevie Ray was taken from us far too soon. It's hard to believe he has been gone over 25 years now.
