Using MIDI Synths in Reason (How to use an external synth with Reason)

Reason provides a powerful framework to run external midi synths. It's surprisingly easy to use Reason to control an external synth, such as an analog synth. Follow these instructions to use an external synth with Reason!

Can I get the midinotes from my external hardwaresynth in reason so I can quantize my recording before bounce it to audio. This shows how you record the audio sound from the synth and I am not that good at playing. Thanks

Where can I get EMI device? I have a Reason 11 Suite but it seems like there is no EMI device in this version of Reason. Or did I get something wrong?

I Reason it was about 10 seconds to get it to send midi to My sythersizor, but with Abalten it took over an hour with a very annoying time sync problem.

I have a Jupiter xm which works fine as a midi keyboard to play Reason synths etc but i cant figure out how to run the Jupiter so i can use it as midi key controller for vst synths and also being able to change to the jupiter itself as the source of midi and audio.

Its doing my head in, im not sure what im doing wrong.

I have 17 hardware synths and drum machines plus a bunch of eurorack synths going into a 24 channel Mackie mixer. The stereo out from that goes into a Focusrite interface. How would I use Reason sequencer to control my synths??

Right now I only use Reason for audio recording!

This is good info, but I cannot get Reason 12 to recognise my external synth, which I'm syncing via a Focusrite 18/20. The Reason manual doesn't appear to have any info on how to do this and all other info is about MIDI IN, not MIDI OUT . Can you point me at a video or website that explains how to add an external synth to Reason.

(& I'll check to see if this has already been addressed here...) what about when the analog synth has LFOs &/or other elements that need to be synced to reason's clock. how do we do that?

Great vid dude. I'd be interested to know how you integrate your hardware EQs and compressors with Reason. I've found this quite cumbersome in my workflow, so any tips would be much appreciated!
