Learn about the most common contractions in English grammar. This lesson is great for beginners wanting to learn how to form contractions in English. I'll teach you about subject pronoun + verb contractions, contractions with interrogative adverbs, negative contractions, and the most common contractions in English. At the end of the lesson, we will have a short quiz to test your knowledge.

Contractions are words that are formed by combining two words and merging them together. We do this by removing one or more letters and replacing them with an apostrophe.

I will define what contractions are and explain why they are used in English. I will provide examples of each type of contraction and demonstrate how they are used in sentences. Additionally, I will cover some of the most common contractions in English such as "I'm", "you're", "he's", "she's", "they're", "it's", "let's" among others. By the end of this video, you will have a better understanding of contractions and how to use them correctly in your own speech and writing.

This video is suitable for English learners, students of English grammar, as well as anyone looking to improve their fluency and comprehension of spoken English.

I love your new punctuation book. I did find something to update. Neil Armstrong and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin were the first to land on the moon. Neil Armstrong was the first to walk on the moon. Thanks

Something dawned on me while watching this. The verb "has" is only used with a third-person singular subject. The English language is a strange thing.
