Popular title, or series, to many. People argue this to be the best in the series. Ty is nothing more than a collectathon platformer like many. The graphics are quite appealing and the controls play well (except for the double jump being a bit annoying). It's also a fairly easy and innocent collectathon, nevertheless recording 100% was very annoying and difficult and I want to give thanks to Doctormario4600's longplay of this game which I was able to mimic for the most part (The OG is a bit faster, because he knows his games incredibly well).

There are three stages per area and each stage ends with a boss. Each level has a bunch of stuff to collect which I'm personally never a fan of. Most of the collecting items are tied to Thunder Eggs, which are the main item you require to get to unlock the boss stages or complete the game. Each level has 300 spheres and 5 cages, each which reward you with a thunder egg when you find all of them. There's also 10 golden cogs per level which can be collected to get new boomerangs in the main hub.

The worst collectible are the picture frames. These made the recording a bitch. The picture frames are hidden in hard-to-find invisible boxes. They'll appear in the sky, underwater, behind trees or in tree leaves. There are many of them too. About 10-30 per level. They are not truly invisible, but they blend very well with the background. Fortunately, if you collect enough Golden Cogs you can get a boomerang that'll make a noise when one is nearby. It takes a couple of levels to acquire enough Golden Cogs though. I had the option to re-do the first four levels later on in the game when this boomerang was acquired, or just do it the hard way without the boomerang and save some time on the recording. I chose the second option.

Anyway, apparently there's a special ending if you collect everything in the game so that's what I did. I even did the bonus level which has over 100 picture frames to collect. Literally nothing happens when you get all of them, so you gotta leave the level manually.

Just another video game on my GameCube that did a damn good job of making me feel like I was in an actual other world. Memorable soundtrack, sound effects, atmosphere, gameplay. This channel is run by a legend!

I had so many memories playing this game from when I was little, yet I didn't know the name of it. I'm so glad I found this. So much nostalgia!

The nostalgia, my mom and dad would play the story and I would play the free roam. I love this so much.

Oh hell yes you did a longplay if this masterpiece! Man this game comprised so much of my childhood it's ridiculous. Also I like how you went for the picture frames, so many people on Youtube don't do that. One option some people prefer is to just wait until they get the Infrarang and then backtrack to each level, since it makes picture frames so much easier to spot - better method for first time players I think (so long as they don't mind the tedium) but our method is definitely more efficient for longplay purposes.
Also I love how the bad the music looping is in the Gamecube version lol. I've always considered this the weakest version IMO, followed by PS2, then Xbox, then PC.
Awesome job dude. Glad my expertise helped you out. :)

Rainbow Cliffs combined with the music is imprinted in my mind, I loved this game, it was cozy, story driven and had a greater atmosphere ... Bush Rescue was more combat/action and focused more on variety in boomerangs, vehicles, characters etc.
