The world's toughest cooking competition is back. Out of hundreds of ordinary applicants aspiring to be chefs, 18 talented home cooks - teachers, students, investors, stay-at-home moms and a food delivery driver - are chosen to fight for 12 MasterChef aprons. The first cooking audition takes place at the Super Tree Grove and some of the survivors are given a second chance at the Flower Dome. After 10 gruelling weeks, only one will taste the glory of the MasterChef title.

The weather is so humid and hot in Singapore and the contestants have to cook in an outdoor environment without any fan which is a huge kudos from me. I wouldn't even be able to concentrate and complete within the assigned time.

Hold on, i thought 1st episode is gonna be about auditioning all the home cooks and choosing the Top 18 to enter the kitchen.

But instead, it's already been selected for the Top 18 and it's being downsized to be only 12 to be allowed to wear the white apron.

This is just a way of stealing people recipes, secret skills and know how. The winner will be some young person still looking awkward cooking in kitchen.
