Humiliated Starmer plods on and Phillip Schofield makes TV comeback | The Daily T Podcast

On the final day of the Labour conference, party members gave the government a bloody nose by voting to oppose the winter fuel allowance cut. It won’t change anything, but Keir Starmer now has a party in open revolt against his leadership, with one union leader telling the crowd it’s ‘not what people voted for’ during a barnstorming speech.

Camilla and Kamal ask where Starmer’s already ailing government goes from here, with the Prime Minister also doubling down on accepting accommodation from Lord Alli in an interview last night; his excuse for which Camilla found “extraordinary”.

Plus - Phillip Schofield is controversially set to return to our TV screens in a new Channel 5 reality show. Can he ever be un-cancelled?

Brilliant speech by Sharon Graham of UNITE. She spoke for the people of this country. The government's decision to axe the winter fuel payment for pensioners will cause real hardship this winter. As Sharon said - people simply do not understand why this decision has been taken. There was nothing about it in Labour's manifesto. The Labour government must now listen. This unnecessary, unpopular, and cruel decision must be reversed. There is no excuse for it.

Schofe has had his day, was sick of him & Holly on that sofa, so full of themselves it backfired in a spectacular fashion. He hasn't been missed, wont be watching him on his " poor me I am the victim was just unwise and not illegal rubbish programme" having an affair with a young lad or rather taking advantage of him.

Some pensioners don't need the winter fuel payments, but the poorer pensioners would require winter fuel payments to continue.

I believe the reason Starmer has penalised the pensioners is because older people are generally too dignified to riot and cannot strike, sorted! And disgraceful.
