DIY Liftgate Strut Replacement (Quick and Simple)

In this video, I show how to replace weak or failing lift gate struts (shocks) for your rear hatch or liftgate. This same concept applies to hood struts, hatchback struts, and most trunks. These devices are nitrogen powered shocks that make the trunk easier to open.

Be sure to use proper safety measures to avoid damage or injury.

The dealer wanted $330+ labor and local Meineke a bit more for doing this work. For a first timer, I got them done under 30min. Go figure why hundreds on this stuff. 😂

Mine has automatic shut and won't let me even hold it up it uses crushing force and shuts any fuse or anything I can pull ?
