Love this new approach! However, a side note .. in Hawai’i (where I live) many short term rentals are being shut down. Why? Essentially two reasons. First the gutting of LOCAL real estate where too many properties have been purchased, driving up real estate prices to only make big short term rental bucks. So multi generational locals can no longer afford to live in their own island home. And secondly, so many renters just come here to party all night loud obnoxious trashing everything … don’t care about anything but having an insanely wild time … that the permanent neighbors have had to endure. And I wonder if other locations are experiencing the same issue? Anyways, when I travel I have always liked using AirBNB best so was surprised to hear it was about to be eliminated. Well this planet has been run mafia-like and when they are done with you, they are really done with you … just like with Michael Jackson & Prince.

This company has destroyed domestic home rental markets around the world. In australia, its almost impossible to get a domestic rental - reason...vacancy rates are stuff all. why tho. this said company is found tpo have approx over 80, 000 listings of free standing 3 bed homes in the suburbs and apporx 20 000 apartments. There are currently approx 250 000 ppl looking for a rental in aust....that right there is the propblem We did not have this problem 5 years ago. A landlord can earn in two or three nights what one weeks rent can be for a formal lease. Its criminal. Each house rental has between 50 and 80 groups of ppll applying, andsome city councils are trying to ban them, but cant. Just crim, inal

For me their niche used to be "find something that isn't as stupendously overpriced as a hotel" and that is just about dead by now due to how expensive everything has gotten there. So yeah, probably winning moves that make them a ton of money, but somewhere along the way their "don't be evil" got dropped, I think.

Cool idea but i`m not sure who`s going to be the target audience. I like the exploring places idea but booking in a bundle (room+flight+retal...) is nothing new. Cheap ryanair tries to push the bundle on you too. The problem is that those bundles are always more expensive because you pay for convenience so i guess airbnb just wants to cater to customers with deeper pockets. Good for them but i dont think that`s their customer base.
