UK PM under pressure to set timetable for England schools reopening

There are no plans for that to happen before half-term in February, but many Tory MPs are dismayed at the prospect of it carrying on until Easter.

Mr Johnson said his priority was avoiding another "surge in infections", although he insisted he wanted to see schools back as fast as possible.

I understand that school is important. However, safety is more important. First we have to make sure that infection is down..

❤️😔It’s so sad to see how population is looking for a reason to go out and spread the virus 🦠 that is the reason why everyone is complaining that children should return to school in order for them to use the school reason to be going out and spreading the virus 🦠 in the way to school by socialising with other parent throughout the journey just to make one of them died and use that as an escuse to blame the government for poor management... we all need to thank the 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼government 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼for prioritising our health first throughout this pandemic... children can do online learning and be at home safe... rather than create another WAVE and give more pressure to the NHS STAFF MEMBER who also deserve a break from all this pressure that they been facing since day one 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️let’s stop complaining and start to thank the government for this national lockdown; our life is more important at this stage of this pandemic 😷 situation.

The school where I work has been open all the way throughout the pandemic for frontline and vulnerable children. All teaching and support staff have been working every day. Not only teaching the children they have in the class but also planning and uploading lessons for pupils at home, videos, delivering work to pupils without printing facilities. Every year group has got children in and we’re all trying our best to keep each other safe.

Parents being fed up with having their kids at home is not a good enough reason for reopening. The kids are still being taught

last year when you eased the lockdown deaths were very low then when you reopened schools deaths started to increase so i think its still early to reopen schools.
