He planed the 10 hour hike when at the mine shaft, when he came out he said he needed to check his map to see how far it was. I think he’s meaning he hiked somewhere different to what he had planned and cos it was different he wanted to confirm how far he actually went. I think there’s nothing to look into, well depends how you take these comments but it’s well worth it to solve the case :)

Tbh i believed he saw something that he shouldn't have seen, miltary or area 51 restrictions. Possible that he was killed, and body was taken somewhere else to be buried or burnt .

As I understand it after watching a video on the Why Files channel, this gentleman suffered from depression & was in a highly stressful situation financial situation. I myself think he went out to the desert, found a very isolated cave, and took his own life. He left his cell phone at the mineshaft, but took his firearm with him.

A 10 mile hike should take 4 to 5 hours, not 10. And at the end it looks like he’s standing in front of a road.

His sister literally admitted in an interview that it was him robbing the store just none of his family wanted him to get in trouble so they didn't say anything to the police...

He also made his mortgage payments on his house until 2022 and his sister said someone was falsely using his dead fathers name until 2022 as well.

He obviously decided to ditch his family and take off for whatever reason. My guess, he was using his dead fathers name and is in northern California as he liked to hike up there too.

Interesting. First, it confirms that he did use maps so its even more confusing as to why he didnt mention Joe May, Wildhorse, or Picture Canyon by name. Second, if he already knew it would take 10 hours to complete, he must have already of known the distance so why did he need to check it afterward? Another very odd contradiction with that video.

Uh, he didn't have an M Cave route. He stumbled upon it once then decided to go look for it again. Besides, just because he's checking his map for distance doesn't mean he knows the exact distance for every little bend, crevice, and landmark. Maybe he wants to get an exact location for something new he noticed, or another direction to go for next time.

This is what happened with Kenny:

Records a video of himself saying he found a cave, the “M” cave.

“This was the only cave he’s ever been scared to enter”. it made his heart race and he got this “vibration” throughout his body.

He tells his audience he is going back to that cave, he needs answers and that he’s gonna go in it.

Goes back again, hikes around “the wrong area, and takes a different route”. He doesn’t find the cave, tells his audience that he will return, and this time, “stay as long as he needs to in order to find this “M” cave again.


Takes off on another attempt to find the cave and it was his self admitted last attempt, because he’s not going home until he finds it. Leaving his camera at home, taking his gun, and leaving his cellphone at the only landmark.

The M cave was code, or an analogy for him to un alive himself. When he thought about “going in that cave” it was the scariest one of them all, and he couldn’t go in. He was speaking in code, the cave was his death, so when he went back to find it again (to un alive himself) he “couldn’t find the cave” even tho he took a self admitted different rout. He couldn’t do it that time, so when he tells the camera, I’m gonna go out here again and I’m not leaving until I find the cave.

This was the only time he left his camera, took his gun. He was contemplating this and he finally made up his mind, he’s going out and not coming home.

On his trips he was scouting the area for a place he could do the act and not be found, the M cave was a distraction, and code/an analogy for where he’s going. It not only gets people to look and focus the search in a specific area but it also prevents people from looking else where.

He said he’d never be found and he hiked many times to find the perfect spot, lied to people about the cave, went out, hiked to his spot and did the deed.

He left his phone at the mine as to not be tracked, and keep people looking in that area.

Every theory is wrong, go watch the videos, you’ll see when he’s explaining the cave it is extremely vague and when he talks about looking for it for the last time he’s visibly more distraught.

If he went in that cave he would never come out- one comment said, at least one person noticed on his videos and could see past the code


He also said “i was scared to go in the cave, and I didn’t have my gun on me that day”

This was a man contemplating ending it all and speaking publicly to us about it and telling us exactly what he was gonna do and know one noticed until it was too late.

I do a lot of walking + hiking. He may have taken rest breaks and that can goof up the time of the hike. Also some days you may hike faster or slower than on other days due to your energy levels + what you ate the day before. Also are your muscles fully recovered from the previous trip.

If he has multiple routes that he takes out there to different destinations the length of each route (in miles) he may not remember it. I don't always remember how long my walking / hiking routes even though I do then often.

Also a slight detour can change the milage too. Or maybe he just wanted to check the map to see what else was nearby. Like does he see on the map another route? Can he go a bit farther? Is there something nearby he could check out? People who hike / walk often like to change the route a bit to add more interest in what they are seeing. Its fun to see new stuff. And then you have something to look forward to.

Also how was his nutrition? If he is low on something that can affect the time of the hike. How are his shoes? Are they wearing out? Did tiny stones get into the shoe? All sorts of things can affect the speed you go at. Heck just spotting something like an interesting bird or plant or some other critter may have you stopping to look at it! Or to take photos. That can eat up time right there!

He seems to me to be a man who likes to explore. That probably means pausing if he saw something that caught his eye. Because otherwise you could be indoors on a threadmill. But people who prefers outdoors is probably because they are into seeing stuff and anything could catch his eye out there.

I have "seen" the area on SB vegas adventures channel. It looks like a very fascinating place to explore. I can see wht Kenny loved that area. But I would be wary of going out there. Not because he disappeared but because of stuff like snakes or maybe a cougar.
