Last week, Ed Martin, the interim U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, sent the dean of Georgetown University Law Center, a Catholic law school, a letter that said, “It has come to my attention reliably that Georgetown Law School continues to teach and promote D.E.I. This is unacceptable.” The New York Times' David French writes about the letter to Georgetown Law in a new Opinion column.

Canada here: Bernie’s 'Fight the Oligarch Tour'. I watched this hour-long speech from Wisconsin deep inside GOP territory where 15, 000+ citizens gathered from across all political, social, religious demographics to hear a different message. Not one heckler or 'enemy' voice stood up to challenge Bernie’s statements. What he offered was hope in the face of despair and on every stop in the tour, the response was the same. Why is Bernie Sanders an outlier from within the Democratic Party movement? He speaks truth to power. Why are there not others within the Party that can match a voice as eloquent and powerful as Bernie’s?

Freedom of speech. Georgetown is free to teach as it sees fit. I recall that Georgetown is known for producing high-end lawyers - Ed Martin might well have bitten off more than he can chew.

Mika and Joe's anger might be believable if they hadn't pilgrimaged to Mar-a-Lago to kiss Trump's ring.

Well, fascists do fascist things. Absolutely outrageous but not unexpected from this administration.

Sorry, but although I agree with joe's and mika's opinion, I cannot trust their supposed outrage since they paid homage to trump at mar a lago

The sad part of this story is that if this were brought before the Supreme Court, there would be certain justices who would vote that the DOJ does have the right to instruct a private university on what they can teach.

Georgetown is a private university, what's his problem?

The Dems need to turn the tables... force this to somehow go to the supreme court, and let's see how Thomas and Alito "dissent" their way out of this box.

And here I thought that was enshrined in

Why isn't he dragged before the bar for being a rubbish lawyer and barred from practice

The Constitution? That's just a set of guidelines, right? The SCOTUS opened Pandora's box and the Trump administration popped out. I would like to say "So long and thanks for all the fish."

Joe and Mika, your outrage would be more beleivable if you hadn't done the Kevin McCarthy pilgrimmage to Mar-a-lago

So the ringkissers still critize the "man" who's ring they kissed and for whom they bent their knees?
