Built in 1927 the hotel has served 9 president and many entertainers including Frank Sinatra, Elizabeth Taylor and Muhammed Ali.

Tragedy occurred when Adolph Coors, founder of Coors Brewing died from a fall from he 6th floor. They say his ghost roams the hallways.

How they decorate the hotel and grounds around this hotel at Christmas was beautiful and put me in the Christmas spirit. I hope they continue this for many years.

Will be traveling to VA Beach in June. I have been to the beach area before, and it wasn't too bad. Will be adding Jamestown and Yorktown to our visit. Thanks for the informative videos! :)

The history of this hotel is so very interesting. It was the hub with its own railroad right up to the front door dressed to, the nines to listen to the big band music. It’s was the place to be. It has seen so many famous people come through. The huge transformation of a once dilapidated hotel to what it is today is stunning. Look down at what you’re walking in. It was where so many famous people walked before. The roof top view is awesome.
