Goes to show what a difference freshness has, and you can't get much fresher seeds than straight out the fruit! For most species, I've had germination within 2 to 3 weeks (or, in some instances, as little as 3 days) when the seeds were sown immediately upon extraction from the fruit pulp (and cleaned, of course, to prevent mould).
