Hopefully we may see red squirells in Gloucester again. The last time I saw one with my own eyes was when I was about 8 in Gloucester Park, 20 years ago (it was dead, probably from the pox) I'd love to seem them around here, alive and thriving again.

Too bad that in the UK is lack of forests and trees!I came from Sweden 4 years ago and I was extremely disappointed about the green life. I do not understand why Britons are cutting the trees and not planting new ones. Green means our lifes. In Scandinavia if they have to cut a tree, automatically they have to plant more than one.That is conserving and respecting the nature and life.

I hope we can go the whole hog with rewinding and reintroducing. We're so safe and detached from any danger in this country but as usual we'll half arse it like we do with so much as soon as somebody complains plus the media will put a cork in the idea as soon as a wild predator looks sideways at a daily mail reader.
Wolves in Scotland and Eurasian Lynx in England would be a decent start.
We should also make it a law for all cats to wear a bell to give small mammals and birds a chance. I'm 100% behind this.

Need to reintroduce more animals into the uk that we have lost over the hundreds of years. Including bears and wolves.

Have you soft cuddly people got any idea the carnage these animals have on wildlife? They decimate nesting birds. While your watching them going ah aren’t they cute think of them ripping young birds from nests crunching their skull then devouring them. Still cute are they?
