So, The last 2 Magnus Carlsen World Chess Championship Challengers (Nepo and Fabi) are leading the Candidates now.

I think one of them will win this. Fabiano gave Magnus the hardest time in WCC, drawing all 12 classical games, before losing to Magnus in Faster Time Control. (Where Magnus is way better than Fabi)

As for Nepo, he had a solid first 5 classical draws in his WCC match against Magnus. But he cracked in the second half of the tourney. Iirc, Nepo missed some moves in some games he was winning. Hopefully, he will have a better showing if ever.

If Magnus wouldnt play. Then it will be Fabi VS Nepo

I have a feeling nepo is gonna crack later on in the tourney. One of the things people always talk about with nepo is his lack of stamina, both physical and mental. Hes brilliantly talented but he cant maintain his consistency over a long period of time. Thats one of the reasons he won the candidates last time, because it was split into 2 parts so he could get a break. I have a feeling nepo is gonna break down near the 2nd half of the tourney and fabi is gonna win the thing

Sad thing is if Nepo plays Carlsen again it would likely be worse for Nepo than the last. Caruana has better chances.

If candidates is splitted to two tournaments Ian is the best, but for one 14 rounds tournament he will stumble in the second half

Nepomniachtchi perdeu o embate teórico contra Caruana na 2° rodada (só que Caruana ainda não havia encontrado a continuação de ataque nas casas negras após o sacrífico de qualidade e decidiu jogar para empatar).
Mas só lembrando, Caruana estava de Negras.
A próxima partida entre Nepomniachtchi e Caruana o America o vem de brancas e contra Firouzja ele virá de brancas também.
Quero ver se o Russo vai segurar a onda como o Caruana segurou (e venceu na teoria) o Nepomniachtchi.

why duda did not capture pawn with his king on h7? that was terrible move. h7 pawn had no defender, what was the reason just moving king to h8 and sitting duck?
