According to experts, artificial rain can wash away pollutants from the atmosphere and help improve the air quality. 1) What happens after the rain ? The resuspension of the pollutant. Where does the pollutant go? Does it mix in water and affect water bodies? And so on the whole cycle needs to be tracked or modelled.

2) The economic viability of artificial rains ? My guess is it will cost crores. May be a long term solution is needed than artificial rains.

3) What about trans boundary pollution? I guess one needs policy level intravention for trans otherwise boundary movement of pollution from other countries or may be states otherwise how many crores we want to use in artificial rain process?

This is a Band-Aid solution. What happens when the rains come and then there's flooding. What then??

Why don't the farmers till the ground and add lime to break down the nutrients into the soil??

I have shared the news covering my RTI on artificial rain. No it does not cost so much, for full Delhi one time cost is Rs 3 cr for 5 sorties and it's much less than the price we are currently paying. One day stoppage of construction work costs hundreds of crores

No farmers are not only polluting Delhi, it's Delhi on pollution. 50% of Delhi pollution come from transport. Last year during peak season of Nov 86% of Delhi pollution was caused by delhi local factors
