Get a Siemens S7-1500 PLC to communicate to a Rockwell ControlLogix PLC via EtherNet/IP CIP Connected Class 3 Explicit Messaging utilising the PLC systems existing Ethernet modules. No additional hardware is required and no additional communication programming is required in the ControlLogix PLC. Request or write ControlLogix PLC global tags directly from the S7 PLC program.
