Topo Designs Core Pack… 100% agree! It checks all the boxes, bright liner, dual water bottle pockets, clamshell, and quick access pockets. I just wish it better color options. My daughter used the red version for her school bag and I have the blue one in my collection.

Loved seeing some different bags. The Bucktown….man…looks awesome. I’m going to take my wife to Chicago on a weekend trip just to get my hands on it in their store. Hopefully they make it in ballistic.

Appreciate the videos! I commute via motorcycle and have used that Chrome Moto Barrage extensively over the last 5 years. It's been through tens of thousands of miles of motorcycle rides, and likely hundreds of more miles of me walking while not on a bike and has held up through all the use. I wish Chrome would bring back the moto line. Their collab with See See Moto in Portland produced some great stuff (also have the tool roll they came out with).

For the GR136 Genesis Review: Instead of magazine I thought you were going to say business papers lol

Haha. The pause... I thought you were going to drop a "papers, .. business papers, .. man."

Yay! When that Bucktown showed up briefly in one of your recent videos I was hoping you'd talk more about it. I have the white x-pac version (I have everything Defy makes in white x-pac, it's kind of becoming a problem), and it's one of my favorite bags of the last 15 years.

Hallowed grounds! Sounds serious…

Suggestion (if you haven’t already) Vertx Ready Pack 2.0 is a great EDC at a very reasonable price.

Great video. Going to have to check out some of these bags now, haha. On the subject of unknown bags and some with diaper bag potential, I have to mention my Beau Industries R1. It's marketed as a diaper bag but doesn't look like one. I've been using it for EDC and it's been working out great for me so far.

Solid side quest sacks featuring the sinister six, I took my horse to the bucktown road and rode her for a while... Til I couldn't no more

I really like Matsuda’s stuff but impossible to get without connections or secondary market markup. $40 for *a patch* is way too much, but I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t pay $190 for one of his pouches.

I have both the Core Pack and Defy Bucktown. The Bucktown is a beautiful, well made bag with horrendous zippers. I have no idea how the designer actually thought this zipper type was a good idea. I’ve stopped using it based solely on the zippers. You have to rip them open, which becomes an inconvenience in daily use.

After entering the "Carryology" world and i realized there is so many unpopular brand but have a huge followers and demand amongst Caryologist communities.
And its not for mainstream consumer. Only those who willing to spend just for a 'bag' will know.

I love how you never actually title you’re vids the funny things you say you’ll call them 😂

Hey Bromigo! Great video! It's really awesome to hear the background of some of these bags. I believe Chrome was originally started by Bart and a partner, who sold Chrome and then later founded from Mission Workshop. It seems with MW they really upp'ed the game. It's just what I've heard. Any details around this would be interesting. Have a great day!

Nomadic Research Urban Raid would be another that could fit in this category. Looks like a well made and thought-out bag, but there's not a lot of info out there on it

I have l also the waxed Bucktown. But unlike you, I'm not a big fan of the shiny zippers. Other than that, I agree.
