In my experience, rubber base is not for you if your hands are frequently in water, or damp for long periods of time. I have curly hair and it takes me an hour to style (I hate it), which means my fingers will be damp with water and curl product for that amount of time. My rubber base peeled off in one sheet as if it had been a peel base; I had done them the day before.💕

I have super thin nails. I bought builder gel in a bottle because I thought that would help, and then I was shocked when my nails would always immediately lift haha. Well, problem is that they really don't have their own structure. I found out that rubber base gel is a lot more flexible! It's probably what I should have been using all along. I just bought a bottle and have yet to test it but I'm excited to!

💕 idk where to start. This video was AMAZING! You talked like you were speaking to me (the person who says that's pretty as the only input to nails) directly. I learned so much from this and now I want to spend all of my next paycheck on nail supplies and play with them on my daughters. Thank you for teaching and explaining things to help my thin, brittle, gel rejecting nails. Hope your day is as beautiful as you are too 💕

So glad for this! I am a devoted builder base girl (ManiBoss pink lace forever!) but have been wondering what to do with this. I've got extremely thin and soft nails (... from birth, not damage) and medication I have to take makes it worse. Gotta try this again 💜 (no pink heart on my device.)

I bought all 8 colors in the Born Pretty rubber base gel collection. Great price and OMG the results are fantastic. Thanks for the intro to this type of product.

💗I love this rubber base!!! I do a Mani, clean up cuticles, do warm oil soaks in the evening and next day put this base on, my low side cracks have stopped. 🎉🎉🎉🥰😍😘

Thank you for showing in real time how you’re polishing your nails. It’s not always the same depending on the products you’re using.

💖💖💖 I’ve been using rubber base gel for a bit now and love it. It’s a go to for doing glitter ombré or even a peekaboo with the right combos.

💞thank you for this video! I have this same product you used and I wasn’t sure exactly how to use it. I too have nails that are thin and sometimes repel gel and I don’t know why despite all the prep work some will just not hold. It’s nice to see just how to use it and what it’s all about. I love how real your tutorials are!

I have extremely thin, flexible nails. Ive been getting protection from press-ons (which i love), but i feel awful about the waste. Ive just started hearing about builder gel, but this seems more what i should get! Thanks for this detailed vid!

Rubberbase is great! If you have a clear Rubberbase, it can be used to many things. It is great as a basegel. It ist great to put on tips. It is great for putting on gems and what not. And it can be used as a builder, too (if not too long). 💘

I build an apex with all the soft builder gels I use, including rubber bases. I love builders.
You can cure some on a nonstick paper and see which ones in your arsenal are truly rubbery.

💗 Thanks for another great video, Marla! I love me some builder gel, I like how it makes my nails feel like they did when I'd get acrylics done at the salon... but it's nice to know what options are out there for us. TBH, I wind up doing repairs because I can't help but let my nails grow long since they're so healthy (but dead lol) so I'll stick to BG for now. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

I am 65. I’ve always had very thin nails and noticed my mother and now may have also ridges so that’s just my make up even though I take tons of medication but I noticed when doing my nails and I didn’t want to get polish everywhere I simply took an empty bottle of polish, cleaned it out. Put Elmers glue in it white glue kid stuff painted around your skin around the nail. It does a great job when you’re done with the polish you can peel it right off but it keeps your skin clean you oughta try it anyway thanks for your video. I’m definitely gonna try it.

Marla, thanks for another great video! This is one gel I haven't tried, but it's now on my list! Since watching your videos, I've been trying a lot of different products and learned so much! Thanks again! ❤🌹💕

🩷 thank you for this video. I've been seeing/hearing about rubber base, but wasn't sure exactly what it was. Gels don't seem to stay on, lifting no matter what I do. So I stick with dips. I might have to give this thing a try.
