What is Stall Force?

When talking about massage guns and massage devices, the term stall force is commonly thrown around. This is a term used in many of my videos and some people don't know what stall force is, so I've tried to describe it as easily as possible.

Thank you for making this! I have a question if you don’t mind: does my weight have anything to do with the stall force needed? I have serious upper back/shoulder pain from facing the screen all day, but am also very skinny (100 pounds & 5’3), and there’s only a thin layer of fat over my back . Is a higher stall force necessary? To be more specific, I’m thinking about the theragun prime (30lbs) and elite (40lbs). Do I need the elite? Thanks a lot!

Quick question: if two guns cost the same, which would you choose for a harder, deeper massage when trying to relieve a muscle knot by pressing the gun as deep into the leg or back as possible:

-- A gun with 70 lb stall force and 12mm amplitude OR a gun with 66 lb stall force and 16mm amplitude? ---

HI Question for you - I am looking at the Theragun Pro vs the Theragun Elite. I see that the stall force is 60 vs. 40lb (Elite) and was curious if this is going to be a big difference. I had back surgery 5 years ago and my lower back and legs are always tight. Is the 20lbs going to make a difference that it's worth the additional cost of $200? Just curious if you will ever be able to get it into your muscles so deep (doing it yourself vs. someone else doing it for you) that you would actually need the additional lbs. Thanks in advance.
