They should ask their customers if they want to get on bigger ships, if they want longer lines, if they want even more people to wade through and compete for excursions with. Bigger isn't always better.

Those gargantuan ships are not for us...we go cruising to relax & enjoy the sea, not getting anxious from all the bells & whistles & crowds of pax queuing up all over!

I think these mega ships are getting ridiculous.

You're telling me that governments aren't holding up their end of the deal with the shore power requirement? I'm shocked....SHOCKED I tell you!!!!🤨

I really enjoy the smaller ships. They have so much more detail- I feel like these mega ships are bland in design.

I would like to see less emphasis on "biggest" and move toward best overall experience for cruiser including value for the money spent.

Why don't they try to be the biggest in lowering add on fees? : )

1. Emergency exercises Good.👍👍
2. July is winter down under. So Grinchmas makes sense.
3. Smaller ships make more sense to me. Monster ships mean crowds. Large ships are harder on ports. But if instead the ship is the destination, then you could do as much vacationing at a land resort with less environmental damage.

I think they're being ridiculous building these mega ships!

When are the cruise lines going to realize that their bigger and bigger ships are the cause of all these cities banning and limiting cruise ships?!

Kudos to all involved in the huge safety drill. I’m actually surprised you don’t hear of that more often, in multiple locations and with assorted size ships - more specifically the mega size ships.

Glad to hear that one company and country are looking at a realistic emergency drill.

Recently was on the Prima, saw the ship hook up to shore power in 3 ports in Norway and Belgium. Takes a whole bunch of big cables to get it done. Some pretty neat equipment to unroll the cables.

How about this how about making smaller ships and try building ships that can actually go to other ports compared to the ones they always go to.

I don't know about the largest ship race. I can't help but think that one day the Titanic curse effect is going to hit.

It is amazing that they are pushing the cruise lines to change the port power but the ports are not ready.

How much bigger can these ships get? Bigger slides, more decks and less ocean!

Aren’t they just swapping out where the power plant is polluting from the port to the city’s power plant.

First Hats off to GERMANY and Tui for the Emergency training drill more country's need to take notice as the possibility of a large scale Emergency at sea is there. I feel shore power is a good thing for the cruise industry. I agree with others bigger is not always better.
