The music is dirt cheap from a synth, the actors basically did this for free, the sets are hardly sets at all. Yet Dr. Horrible remains a classic for those who know it, with amazing, archetypical storytelling, great songwriting and an inescapably compelling narrative. My point: people should invest in that, not CGI or big screen names. Also goes to show the amazing talent of the people involved.

This doesn't give u wat u want. A nice ending with the villain realizing his evil ways and turning good and get the girl in the end? NO! This a straight up slap in the face reality.. I Love it.

I can't believe I noticed that during My Eyes the cook serving the soup during Penny's singing gets replaced by Billy and he's wearing a mustache. Funniest thing ever.

That last shot of Billy as himself, no costume, tears in his eyes as the music falls away and it's just his last two notes, kills me every freaking time **sobs for the next 5 to 10 business days**

For the first half I was thinking this was just a comedy like Megamind. I loved that segment with "oh no would you look at my wrist"
Then the entire second half happened and I feel like I've been emotionally whipped

Something I actually really like about this show is that it's so low budget it's real. Instead of visual bloom and shading and recoloration, everything just looks like it's actually happening in some dude's basement or some generic laundromat, etc.

My sister is a music major. She and I were watching this, and during the song “slipping” when Dr. Horrible sang the word “slaughter”, she goes, “oh, that’s a tri-tone! We were always told that’s something you never ever use in music because the sound is off.” I asked, “Then why are they using it here?” She said, “Because it makes you feel uneasy.” And I thought that was really interesting.

what kills me every time is that Penny clearly is in love with Billy. That is most clear when she shows she's not really content with Captain Hammer and waiting for Billy to show up in "so they say." But Billy is off finishing his evil plans. He could have had her!

I love how he didn't forget his awkward loser friend Moist after he rose up to the top. Even though he probably can't open up to him anymore like he used to, he still makes an effort to include him in reaping the fruit of his new position. A truly evil man would probably try to distance himself from every reminder of his uncool past.
