According to Birdlife organization, Lesser Adjutant is a VULNERABLE species. Possible threats that contributes to this species declining population across (almost all) its native range include hunting, loss of nesting habitat, conversion and degradation of wetlands as well as agricultural changes and intensification.

However, there are a few local patches in Peninsular Malaysia that we could still go to observe the Lesser Adjutant stork.

WHO AM I?
✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸✸
I am Weng Chun, a malaysianbirder. I have created nature2pixel brand since 2007 when I first obtained my tourist guide licence. Even before 2007, I have been guiding birdwatchers, photographers and digiscopers in the wetlands that i used to work. I enjoy guiding and meeting up with overseas birders as much as I enjoy doing birdwatching and photography (and video too). Over the years of birdwatching, photography and digiscoping / phonescoping, I have shared my observations and photographs to a few publications which include The 100 Best Birdwatching Sites in Southeast Asia, Birds of Fraser's Hill, The Cuckoos and others.
