In this video I show you how I make lemongrass soap. This easy to make soap is made with all organic oils/butters and scented with lemongrass essential oil.
Recipe for 51oz of Soap
*please follow all lye safety precautions* - this is not meant to be a full tutorial, so please research before attempting to make soap for the first time.
Oils/Butters:
Organic Olive Oil 10 oz | 19.6
Organic Coconut Oil 8 oz | 22.9 %
Organic Palm Oil 8 oz | 22.9 %
Organic Shea Butter 3 oz | 5.9 %
Organic Castor Oil 2 oz | 3.9 %
Organic Jojoba Oil 2 oz | 3.9%
Organic Sunflower Oil 2 oz | 3.9 %
Additives:
Lemongrass EO 50 grams (I always weigh EOs in grams)
Sodium Lactate .50 oz (reduced water by .50 oz)
Kaolin Clay .13 oz
Lemon Peel Powder 2 Tbsp
I use a 2 to 1 water/lye ratio - do what you are comfortable with!
Water: 8.93 oz
Lye: 4.72
