People were furious when Norman Finkelstein compared this situation to Nat Turner's rebellion. It took something awful happening for the world to finally acknowledge the mistreatment of Palestinians by Israel.

I can’t express how much I admire him for taking this on. You can tell he is worn-out from the mudslinging that he has been subjected to by the pro occupation criminals in the media. Can’t wait for my copy of the book to arrive.

Activists should go to Palestine and volunteer as I did 15 years ago you can't deny the oppression of the Occupation.

Jewish Americans don’t need to align themselves with Israel or AIPAC. AIPAC has got to go. Who are they to tell us we can only have a representative that aligns with a foreign country first and put our American citizens concerns second. Dismantle AIPAC.

The disingenuous interview he had to endure on CBS just amplified this inequality.

Thank you to MSNBC for giving him this platform.

Alex was the best person to do this interview, too.

Thank you, Ta-Nehisi Coates, for showing the truth - it's Apartheid and the US has spent billions of dollars to fund it.

Protect Ta-Nehisi Coates at all cost and we must all make a conscious effort to assure that "The Message" remains on the best sellers list for years to come. Because it is vital that the plight of the Palestinian people be told and the brutality of the Israeli regime must be exposed. We African Americans recognize this evil

This dynamic was explored by the likes of Malcolm X and James Baldwin over 50 years ago.

"The Arc of the Moral Universe Is Long, But It Bends Toward Justice", Martin Luther King Jr. Massive respect to Ta-Nehisi Coates for speaking out for Palestinian lives and voices. Also huge respect to Alex Wagner for an amazing and impartial interview. Far too many interviewers engage in their own biases especially in the US media when it comes to Israel's inhumane policies on Palestinians, as most of the US media tends to frame the conversation with a pro-israel bias. The current Israeli inhumane policies on Palestinians effectively stems from Zionism.

> Why was former President Carter's book on the same topic ignored? (BTW Happy 100th Birthday Jimmie!)

>Why is this book so controversial?

>What is the name of the unspoken, cultural value underlying all of this violence for thousands of years?

"There are so many ways of being despicable it quite makes one's head spin. But the way to be really despicable is to be contemptuous of other peoples pain." 😕

Isn't it a lot like apartheid in South Africa?

NickNick

No apartheid has a right to exist, period; let alone a settler colonial apartheid. Blinken's tribal loyalty has already cost America it's hegemony.

Going from Germany must pay reparations to Israel to the latter being an abhorrent apartheid state and has no moral ground to exist is a different kind of whiplash. Something tells me Netanyahu and his Likuddites aren't gonna be pleased with this.

Surprised NBC is even showing this. Notice they called it segregation in Palestine, not Israel, though. Ha.
