Our Christmas break at our off-grid cabin turned into an unexpected adventure of survival and warmth! When we arrived, we faced a series of winter challenges: swollen doors that refused to budge, a frozen water pump, and a diesel heater that wouldn't start.
Despite these obstacles, we managed to turn our potentially frustrating moment into an unforgettable winter wonderland experience.

Winter Cabin Survival Tips:
* Check door seals and lubrication before winter arrives
* Prepare backup heating methods before you need them
* Insulate water pipes to prevent freezing
* Bring extra blankets and warm clothing
* Test equipment before heading to remote locations

Join us as we navigate the realities of off-grid living during the coldest season. Mouse works on warming up our bunkie while Matt tackles the stubborn doors - a true team effort that highlights the beauty and resilience of our off-grid lifestyle.

Remember to check out our other videos documenting our off-grid adventures!

Hey you can do a pretty nice ground deck with pallets. Just screw 4, 6 or eight anyways screw those together then lay plywood on top and screw that down and then seal it and put deck carpet down. Similar to what that fake grass is. Then put up some railing. Should last a while if you use good pallets

Trying to comment and my comment keeps disappearing, I'd there a way to completely drain the water pump so it don't freeze? I had a E8 on my diesel heater was a fuel alarm and I had to prime the system I think I had to hit two buttons the same time, can't recall what two lol. Always something when you get to the off grid property especially in the winter, you both seem to be enjoying it all lol. Hope you have an awesome weekend.
