Australia Day 2021 Address

In his annual Australia Day address, the Governor-General reflects on the Australians he and Mrs Hurley have met - in person or virtually - over the last 12 months and why they give him enormous confidence for our future.

"There will continue to be difficult days ahead - we know that - but we have every reason to be optimistic about our future because at our core we are a good people.

"There is incredible strength.

"That should give us enormous confidence for our future.

"And that should make us enormously proud to be Australian."
